Putting The Hours In
This week I’ve been out on the bank fairly regularly, but about half the time has been spent wetting a line, other than my marker rod.

I’m undertaking a season long campaign on one of my local rivers so a lot of time has been spent rambo’ing about looking for carp, interrogating the seemingly tight lipped pleasure anglers, finding spots, and probably most importantly for this type of fishing, baiting them up. The rower’s certainly aren’t helping, they’re a bit of a nuisance, and some appear intent on being extremely ignorant and rude towards anglers, but at least they all go in at night. On the plus side it’s all coming together nicely so I’m confident I’ll get a result soon. Other than that I’ve been doing 1 night a week on my current still water and have been having a few, but no lumps as yet. As I write this I’m off up there again tonight and the conditions look bang on, here’s hoping!
