Rookley Country Park’s specimen lake has a reputation for producing big fish. With more than 130 carp present, there are 100 fish over the 20lb mark and 20 over 30lb, with 40lb plus being the lake record. Good-quality fresh boilies produce most of the bites but pellets and particles also work well. The lake has plenty of underwater features and depths vary from four to 14 feet, with known hotspots to find. There are also on-site facilities, such as a fully stocked tackle shop and restaurant with a bar. So with lots of big carp and top-notch facilities, it’s one to try.
