USED AND ABUSED: AQUA PRODUCTS RS THREE-ROD QUIVER - 25/06/2010

Jon says: What stands out with the RS3 quiver, in fact all of the Aqua luggage that I have used, is the quality of the material and manufacture. It’s built to last, and it does just that, which is why a slightly higher price tag is worth every penny. I do prefer to use quivers with rod sleeves to give my rods, reels and main line some protection during transit and I would advise everyone to do similar. While the RS3 is designed to accommodate rods in sleeves, individual Velcro rod straps enable it to accept rods without sleeves just as readily, so the choice is yours.

Make no mistake, this is a compact quiver. Three rods, a brolly, landing net and a few banksticks will fill it to capacity, so if you plan on taking marker and spod rods, big shelters and so on then look at the bigger, RS5 quiver instead. The handle on the base is designed for use when loading onto a barrow or into your car, and it comes in far handier than you might think. It would be nice to have a slightly larger main compartment, as even an oval brolly is a tight fit. However, as a day-session or minimalist overnight quiver it’s great.
