Gardner Deluxe Anti-Ladder PVA - 30/07/2009
TESTER: MARC COULSON
TEST PERIOD: FIVE YEARS
I am a huge fan of stocking-type PVA and rarely cast a rig out without at least a small stick attached. There are many different versions of the web PVA available and even different sizes of each variety too. Fine mesh, larger mesh, wide, boilie and even really narrow stuff for longer casting. Many of these PVAs work and serve a perfectly good purpose. I have not tried them all, far from it, but I have used many different companies’ offerings. Only two or three have remained in my rucksack throughout, but the Gardner one certainly has. It’s easy to tie, does not break when pushing baits through a tube while making a stick, boasts a decent breakdown time and every last scrap melts in the water.
I have continued to use the boilies version of the Gardner PVA since I first tried it, over five years ago. Many PVAs have come and gone, and some remain, but I really cannot imagine ever not carrying some of this stuff.
VERDICT
+ Excellent PVA that breaks down fully and can be used all year round
- I keep running out!
