First Impressions: Fox Core-Lite Hangers - 30/07/2009
Anyone who knows me well will testify to my fetish (is that the right word, I wonder?) for bobbins. I love them and cannot resist checking out any new versions that hit the market.
These Core-Lite hangers from Fox are designed to be everything you’ll ever need from your bite indication. Included in each pack are the attachment arm, a chain, cord, two drag weights and the versatile bobbin head. This head is, in a nutshell, two heads in one because there are two bodies, large and small, which basically work in tandem. Remove the clip on the top of the small head and simply slide the large head over the top before replacing the clip. It couldn’t be simpler. As everything is included in each pack, there is no need to mix and match different components; it’s all here, ready to go.
I also like the fact that the cords and chains can be trimmed to your own needs. I like quite a short chain yet prefer a longer cord, neither of which are a problem with the Core-Lites. With six colours available I think these will prove popular with many carp anglers in the coming months.
