Carpfest 2007 - 10/05/2007

This year’s Carpfest has been confirmed for the weekend of June 30th to July 1st and looks set to be even bigger and better than ever. Again held at the prolific CEMEX Thorpe Lea in Egham, Surrey, there is absolutely loads for visitors to see and do.
Round the clock tuition is available for anybody stopping in one of the myriad of top angler’s swims around the lake, including Terry Hearn, Danny Fairbrass and many more, while more formal talks and demonstrations will take place throughout a busy schedule. The World Spodding & Throwing Stick Championships will again be held, which last year were won by England’s Mark Hutchinson and French ace Medhi Dhao.
Casting tuition is available throughout the event in the Casting Zone and the Thinking Tackle Live event around the grandstand areas is an absolute must. If you’re after a bargain or two (aren’t we all!), then the giant marquee will also be of interest, with loads of stands from top carp tackle and bait companies.
Kids and ladies go free, with a £10 entry fee for adult males. There’s plenty of parking and even a kiddies area complete with bouncy castle. Carp Fest 2007 promises to be the biggest and best event of the carp fishing calendar and I reckon you’d be mad to miss it. We’ll all be there and I hope to see loads of you lot too.
