Carpenters Lake in Somerset has just produced a lake record 29lb mirror.

The 21/2-acre pit has been running for the past five years, coming on in leaps and bounds, particularly over the last couple of years. In one session, venue regular Neil Carpenter broke the venue record of 26lb, which had stood for 15 months, twice. Presenting CC Moore Odyssey XXX boilies coupled with CC Moore Northern Special pop-ups in a snowman presentation over a bed of freebies and hemp the southern-based rod took carp of 20lb 2oz, 21lb, 26lb 12oz and this 29lb mirror.
